What is the timeline for registration?
Registration is open now. Late registration opens on the 23rd of October through the 4th of November.

What is included in registration?
Uniform, practice facilities, referee fees and trophies or medals.
What are the age groups for this league?
We are playing 8u 10u and 12u.
What rules will this league play under?
TAAF
How many Kids are allowed on a team?
Minimum 8 - Maximum 10
What is a skills evaluation?
We have drills set up that each player will accomplish. Our Director of Basketball and Coaches will evaluate each player for positioning in the draft. This will help keep teams balanced.
Who must attend the skills evaluation?
Fitting for uniforms will be done at the evaluations so all players must attend one.
Can I bring my own team?
Up to 4 players
Who will be the coach?
Coaches are volunteers, usually parents from the team. All coaches will be background checked and must complete required training. All Coaches must be approved by the Board of Directors and or by the Director of Coaches.
Can my child request to play on a specific team?
All players are either protected by their coach or drafted.
Where and when will we practice?
Each team will be assigned 2 practice times, 1 hour each, at local elementary schools. Practice will be assigned between 6 and 9 pm Monday thru Friday.
Where are the games going to be played?
We will have both home and away game. Away games will be played at Braswell MS or Little Elm schools, home games at Lake Dallas elementary schools or LDMS. We will play most if not all our games on Saturdays.
Will there be an entry fee into the game?
No
How long is the season?
Our first game is early December, the last game will be mid February.
Is assistance available if I am unable to pay?
We will have assistance available for those unable to pay. That application is found on this web site under league forms. The Basketball Board of Directors will review all applications.
Is Lake Cities Basketball affiliated with LDISD?
No, we are an independent organization affiliated with LCFCA. LDISD has generously agreed to help the kids in our area have a basketball program by providing the use of their facilities
